No proposal to establish slaughter house at Kangan: Govt informs Assembly | KNO

Srinagar, Feb 05 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday said that there is no proposal under consideration for the establishment of a modernised slaughter house at Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district. Replying to a starred Assembly Question No. 1272 tabled by MLA Mian Mehar Ali, the government, according to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) informed the House that no plan has been formulated so far to set up a modern slaughter house in the area. The government clarified that the establishment of a modernised slaughter house is not covered under any Centrally Sponsored Scheme under the purview of the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (RD&PR), due to which no such proposal has been taken up at Kangan—(KNO)
